Goal: Maintain technology leadership
The aim of the FDWF is to support the companies in the industry and to ensure the innovative strength and international competitiveness of tool, mold and die making through pre-competitive research and development. The FDWF wants to close the gap to foreign competition, which includes large companies with several thousand employees. The fundamental purpose of the association is therefore the promotion of science and research. Here, the non-profit FDWF focuses on SME-related joint research. The research association is intended to support tool, mold and die making companies with the aim of ensuring their long-term competitiveness on a global level. This focus is explicitly anchored in the association's statutes.
The purpose of the statutes is realized in particular through the promotion and initiation of scientific research projects, the promotion of industrial joint research and through the granting of subsidies for the solution of scientific and technical tasks. In addition, the dissemination of scientific progress and practical experience as well as the transfer of scientific and technical experience to the companies in the industry are an objective of the FDWF. To this end, it also organizes symposia, seminars, lectures or exhibitions. The FDWF always focuses on the long-term and sustainability of its activities and partnerships.
